Job Description:

Directs the financial operations of the hotel to ensure the security assets of the company in a centralized environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages receivables, payables, credit, payroll and cash handling functions with the accounting department.
  • Prepares financial analysis of the hotel operations including variances explanations and makes recommendations to the achievement of financial goals/targets.
  • Develops and implements financial control procedures and systems; ensures compliance to “Internal Control Checkup”, maintains documents for audits of hotel accounts; ensures compliance with government regulations and contractual agreements.
  • Directs preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and reporting.
  • Hires, trains and provides career development for subordinates; conduct performance evaluations and provides feedback to employees.
  • Responds quickly to quest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure Guest satisfaction.
  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate with subordinates.
  • Required to fulfill Manager on Duty shifts.
  • Ensures hotel is in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour and Health laws.


  • 2 years experience in the finance and accounting or related professional area
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or related major preferred
  • Previous hotel experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel
  • Excellent finance, accounting and analytical skills, including experience with cash management, forecasting, revenue management strategies, budgeting, and project management
  • Ability to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts projections
  • Ability to meet deadlines
