We are seeking a Product Marketing Leader to drive global commercial strategy for adoption of product and services portfolio. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the execution of product marketing activities, ensuring our scientific products and services are tightly and effectively integrated into both the overall positioning of the company product portfolio and the end-to-end product and operational workflows. You will be responsible for driving the go-to-market and sustaining marketing efforts by understanding customer and market segments and developing targeted strategies to drive customer adoption, engagement and renewed business prospects. Responsibilities

Strategy & Development

  • Support business growth through pipeline strategy, product commercialization and market sensing. 
  • Act as the Product Development expert, facilitate product roadmap decisions, and make sure that commercial objectives are met.
  • Lead the development of scientific product and solution strategies through analysis of customer segments, customer behaviors, Voice of Customer, competitor intelligence and analysis, business trends and market opportunities. 
  • Participate in new product development from concept through commercialization, bringing the voice of the customer, customer requirements and value propositions to the table. 
  • Become the “go to” person, the main advocate who can clearly communicate what customers need and translate and communicate to the field or internally.Create business cases to provide recommendations for the one-to-ten year product development.

Commercialization Deliverables

  • Define commercialization strategy and value proposition for current and new products
  • Develop and lead the execution of go-to-market plans, positioning and messaging of key benefits and value propositions of the products to specific audiences/personas including therapeutic markets/conditions.
  • Create and deliver clear presentations and messages explaining product value in webinars, seminars, and customer interactions.
  • Track KPIs for the product line and make recommendations to the business.
  • Perform product/customer profitability analysis to determine appropriate pricing levels based on segment, performance, geography, and value created in application.
  • Own and execute on product training for the sales team.
  • Leverage early adopters and KOL’s to provide peer-to-peer market education.

Operations

  • Formalize key operational processes such as product development process, external partner and KOL management, market segmentation analysis and KPI management.
  • Work with marketing to execute creative marketing campaigns that drive awareness, revenue and repeat business of products.

Summary - Functional Management & Metrics

  • Provide revenue forecasts for proposed new products, as well as quarterly forecasts for existing products at various stages of the product life cycle, to guide new product development decisions, sales and inventory planning projections.
  • Define Go-To-Market strategy for product portfolio in first 90 days define multi-year product roadmap for Products (6 months)
  • Develop, track and set targets for product adoption KPIs (Revenue Targets, New Clients, New Targets)
  • Expand market reach through go-to-market strategies to grow segments.

Required Experience

  • PhD or MS in molecular biology, or a related life science fields; will consider BS with biopharma experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing or a related field with a strong track record.
  • 3+ years of life science tools product management experience.
  • Experience in the Large Pharma, Life Science industry and Product Marketing Experiences interfacing with smaller, biopharma, biotech companies.
  • Inbound marketing experience with a focus on ushering customer technical requirements into product development.
  • Outbound marketing experience, and the ability to work with Marketing Communications to communicate technical capabilities to a product market.
  • Success working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent proven leadership at project managing in cross-functional teams; High level of organization, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical mindset and track record of data-driven decision making.
  • Experience in leading scale-up and start up environments.

Other Preferred Experience

  • Background in early translational science, digital health and pharmaceutical drug development 
  • Ability to build credibility and relationships across functions and levels to influence a diverse set of global stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills.
  • Track KPIs for the product line and make recommendations to the business.
  • Facilitate complex and nuanced discussions of hot topic issues with partners to map path forward when necessary.
  • IT proficiency with project & portfolio management tools, analytics and visual reporting applications (e.g. Salesforce, MS Project, Tableau, etc).
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Highly collaborative with outstanding relationship management skills.
  • Strong initiative with the ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity and timelines simultaneously.
  • Self-starter who identifies and helps solve problems, and can deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills.
