Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and results oriented Sales Assistant. This individual will support the Sales team and also be front facing accounts by managing existing accounts and retrieving product briefs from these accounts. This role must be willing to learn the company’s manufacturing capabilities in order to sell and speak to new business opportunities. This individual is a team player and will work with cross functional team members and supply chain to manage and close business opportunities for top marginal returns. This role plays a critical part to the success of the business and must have attention to details, understand lead times and have an understanding of the competitive landscape of the beauty and skin care industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and interact with current business accounts and grow existing accounts with product development
  • Responsible for retrieval of customer briefs and manage product development of assigned customers concepts to win the project with component suppliers and advise lab on direction of formula
  • Responsible for issuing price offerings to customers in quotes and customers’ RFQs and support in negotiating customer contracts to close on a PO
  • Will be establishing and managing calculation sheets for internal calculations with Director of Sales, GM and cross functional team members
  • Work with prefer supplier list for packaging on a project and negotiations for a final price
  • Managing contracts with appropriate cross-functional teams as needed (NDAs, Customer Terms, Vendor Guidelines)
  • Supporting and maintaining details with existing account profiles, product pipeline, activities, forecast reports, update executives on account status and business opportunities on a weekly basis
  • Work with project management team in handing off POs, time lines and full details on a project to fully execute a customer’s project
  • Know and understand company’s budget per account and stablish an effective strategy
  • Support Inside Sales (after sales) staff on communication with current projects
  • Work with Marketing and Lab team members to prepare presentations for Clients
  • Have an interest and knowledge of the beauty landscape and market trends
  • Travel to customer sites, trade shows and supplier facilities (25%-30% Locally, Domestic or International)
  • Reports into Director of Sales, North America

Communication:

  • External: 70% customer focused
  • Internal: 30% Sales Director, Project Management, R&D, Suppliers, Marketing, Production Regulatory and QC

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skill is must
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software: Power Point, Excel and Word; online applications
  • Must be able to work with some autonomy and be able to meet deadlines
  • Establish and manage timelines
  • Some data entry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must
  • Strong work ethic and to be able to handle high pressure situations
  • Willingness to learn company capabilities from a technical and machinery stand point.
  • Creativity and a hands-on attitude
  • Recent graduate or 1 - 2 years’ experience or related business
