Job Summary 

CR Laurence, the leading full-service provider of architectural metals, glass fittings and professional-grade glazing supplies, is undertaking a multi-year business and technology transformation initiative and is hiring future leaders to help support its transformation efforts. You must have leadership experience and expert-level knowledge of warehouse operations such as inbound and outbound shipping, picking and packing, inventory control, warehouse layout and space optimization, cost controls, labor management and warehouse safety.

As the business lead for the SAP S/4 Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) platform implementation of the transformation project, you will help deliver the technology that will enable CRL’s warehouse operational excellence. You will be involved in all aspects of the enablement of the EWM  implementation, including participating in best business practices definition workshops and developing & delivering training & change management.  You will define all aspects of the digital transformation of CRL’s warehouse capabilities.

Post-implementation you will be expected to take on the warehouse leadership role in the supply chain organization driving the strategic commercial and operational excellence initiatives.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Work with warehousing teams and other related business teams to evaluate needs and areas for improvement
  • Facilitate workshops and design sessions leading to the requirements for the implementation of the Extended Warehouse Management system
  • Guiding the team members with best business practices
  • Participate in the deployment of the Warehouse Management System across sites in collaboration
  • Develop and implement testing scenarios
  • Define, implement and track Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of the processes and changes implemented
  • Create quality documentation (Business Process documents, process flows,  policies and procedures, etc.)
  • Provide post-implementation support and problem resolution, working with the AMS support partner or team
  • Partner in developing and implementing end-user training and materials for internal associates and all field locations


  • 10+ years' experience in warehouse, supply chain, or operations leadership role
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management, MBA preferred
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience in Inventory and Warehouse Management processes:
    • Goods Receipts and Good Issues, Vendor and Customer returns processing
    • Put Away, Bin Replenishment and Picking strategies
    • Staging of Goods to Production or Delivery areas
    • Manage inventory and warehouse operations in Make to Order and Make to Stock production environments
    • Batch and Serial Numbers management with Label/Tag design, generation, printing and fixing, barcoding or RFID scanning/tracking
    • Cycle Counts and Variance Analysis
    • Physical Warehouse organization, and management of primary, secondary and overflow bins/locations
    • Material Master Data as it relates to warehousing processes
  • Experience with E-Commerce fulfillment and 3PL collaboration and integration
  • Proven success implementing Warehouse Management Systems, SAP eWM preferred
  • Demonstrate a systems thinking approach, coupled with an innate sense of quantitative thinking and data-driven decision making
  • Experience with IoT related to warehousing and inventory management
  • Team lead experience with Large and Medium-Sized Enterprises
  • Ability to travel up to 25 %.  As needed during project implementation phase
