As a newly hired Instructor, I read your email for the Scheduling Coordinator with interest. My experiences aligns well with the qualification you are seeking at First Steps for Kids. In my role as an Office Assistant at Los Angeles Harbor College, I was a valuable addition to the team. I am an expert in organizing office calendars,
communicating with outside vendors, and planning events. Here are my answers to the following questions:
- Why are you interested in this position?
I am applying for the position of Scheduling Coordinator based on my previous work experiences of engaging with staff, co-worker, families and children. I enjoy and take pleasure of of being a leader by organizing making sure that schedules are created and kept in a timely manner. I think it is important for a person in this position to have people skills of working and engaging with all types of diversity groups. I am committed to this organization and feel that this position will give me another opportunity in my professional endeavors. “I want to make a difference in children’s lives.”
- Why do you think you would be a good fit for this position?
During my career I had the opportunity to experience working as an Office Assistant at Los Angeles College. My main responsibilities was to communicate with the director, schedule meeting, appointment for enrollment and parent conference. These encounter provided me the professional growth and development of critical thinking where planning and assessing was done regularly. Problem solving which detail communication skills are important. It is a “must” to be organized to meet daily and long term planning. Communication skills of listening, providing feedback, patient and understanding. I am eager to learn new methods and meet the different families in our program.
