Worked and collaborated with subject matter experts to conceive, research and prototype a new method for acoustic signal detection based on the Navy’s needs. Developed MATLAB and Python code to generate training and testing data for time-series classification. Designed a multi-classification network using Keras and Python that could identify multiple acoustic signals with 95% accuracy. Performed in-depth statistical analysis for several different working groups to improve the efficiency of their prediction/recommendation algorithms.

- Created working groups for the other research assistants to ensure timely creation of materials for the study
- Analyzed study data in accordance with study procedures to ensure the data is comparable across the different reading groups
- Provided a wide array of assessment tests to the children at multiple times during the study to provide data points for baseline and progress for each child
- Administered the reading intervention material to a group of children several time a week to help improve reading comprehension
