Currently responsible for teaching science to students from Year 7 to Year 13. This includes teaching International GCSE and International Advanced Level courses in chemistry and physics.

Skills and Experience

 

At POWIIS

  • Teaching International GCSE and International Advanced Level courses in chemistry/physics (AQA/Edexcel) as well as general science for Year 7 to 9 students.

 

  • Helped students to write their personal statements for their UCAS applications.

 

  • Prepared science students for university admissions interviews.

 

  • Organized and supported educational school trips to local attractions in Penang and mainland Malaysia.

 

  • Gave private classes in school to help students with their understanding of science and mathematics.

 

  • Performed weekend school duties, in which I ran activities for the boarding students.

 

  • Held classes in philosophy and ran a chess club for after-school activities.

 

  • Developed my teaching techniques through attending personal development sessions in POWIIS. This included detailed in-class assessment of my teaching by a fellow teacher.

 

At Capstone
