Seeking a Vice President (VP) of Human Resources that is both inspiring and skilled to lead an established and rapidly growing organization within a Technology Driven construction firm, taking HR to the Next Level! The ideal Vice President will be an acting Visionary and Captain, leading both the company human resource narrative and the human resource department (team of 20) as the organization continues its growth. Essential Duties:

  • Strategic “HR Voice” to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Counterparts in all HR Matters related to business strategy and overall organizational growth.
  • HR Executive expert relevant to all Centers of Excellence improvements
  • Provide consultative leadership recommendations to all Executive Leadership
  • Create, design, develop and implement training strategies, programs, plans, and processes to support organizational goals.
  • Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
  • Work directly with HR Department Managers to assist in carrying out leadership responsibilities or concerns.
  • Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.
  • Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
  • Create and execute hr related briefings to executives
  • Oversee an organization’s recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes with Recruiting Manager
  • Guide the employee benefit, payroll, health and safety programs planning.
  • Facilitate and monitor the implementation of standardized human resource processes
  • Adhere to all internal policies and legal standards.
  • Effectively structure benefits programs to attract and retain top talent
  • Work with technical team to design, integrate and implement human resource software systems for better efficiency
  • Recommend new and improved measures for performance evaluations
  • This role serves as the primary pillar of the culture, working directly with the CEO.

Required Knowledge:

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Previous experience working as a HR Director for 5 years of a midsize organization
  • In-depth knowledge about local and Union Human Resource Processes, employment legislation, and legal regulations
  • Understanding and experience with Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing strategies
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of HR management
  • Experience with HR tools and recruiting software (Paycom)
  • Ownership and in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player and thought leader
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Supervisory experience
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR) highly preferred
  • *Previous industry experience within: Construction, Manufacturing, Production (extremely encouraged to apply).

*Highly Competitive Salary to include annual bonus and LTIP

Must reside within a commutable distance to Long Beach, CA.(relocation may be considered)
